In line with its strategic vision, Mauritius has clearly set out its ambition to position itself as an Education hub for Africa. In support of its diversification strategy, Medine Group envisioned its Education Village which was designed in 2012 on its prime location at Pierrefonds at crossroads of the west coast and other major towns.
Medine Education Village hosts a palette of highly-ranked tertiary institutions, opened to both local and international students, namely ESCP Europe*, VATEL, SUPINFO* and ESSEC as an executive education provider. The concept is a unique one integrating education, research and innovation with a common strong commitment towards sustainability.
Geared up to pioneer the first integrated international campus in Mauritius, Medine Education Village embarked on a new ambitious project, named International Campus for Sustainable and Innovative Africa (ICSIA), designed to provide world-class education to Mauritian and African audiences through partnerships with elite institutions.
ICSIA concept tags along primary values instilled within its campus: pluridisciplinarity, academic excellence, professionalisation, bilinguism, sustainability and innovation and commitment to population needs.
Elite institutions encompassed by ICSIA are:
- Université Panthéon-Assas*
- Ecole Centrale de Nantes*
- Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Nantes*
- Université Paris-Descartes
- ESSEC Business School
- Ecole gastronomique Ferrandi
- Institut Supérieur d'Interprètes et de Traducteurs (ISIT)
